**Kazakhstan to Host the AFC Futsal Championship 2023**

**Tyumen to Welcome Asia's Top Futsal Teams**

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has announced that Tyumen, Kazakhstan, will host the AFC Futsal Championship 2023. The tournament will be held from June 10 to 26, 2023, and will feature 16 of Asia's top futsal teams competing for the continental title.

Kazakhstan was awarded the hosting rights after a bidding process that saw several other countries express interest. Tyumen, the capital of the Tyumen Oblast in western Siberia, is a major sporting center in Russia and has hosted a number of international sporting events in the past, including the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup.

**Tournament Format**

The 16 teams will be drawn into four groups of four, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the quarterfinals, followed by semifinals and an final to determine the champion.

The teams that have qualified for the tournament are:

The defending champions are Iran, who won the tournament in 2018. Iran has won the AFC Futsal Championship 12 times, more than any other nation.

**Venues**

The tournament will be held at two venues in Tyumen: the Tyumen Sports Palace and the Tyumen Olympic Sports Center.

The Tyumen Sports Palace is a multi-purpose indoor arena with a capacity of over 6,000. It has hosted a number of international sporting events, including the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup.

The Tyumen Olympic Sports Center is a state-of-the-art sports complex that was built for the 2014 Winter Olympics. It includes a 12,000-seat arena, a 3,000-seat ice arena, and a number of other facilities.

**Tickets**

Tickets for the AFC Futsal Championship 2023 will go on sale in early 2023. Prices have not yet been announced.

Tyumen is served by the Roshchino International Airport (TJM). There are also a number of international trains and buses that run to Tyumen.
