Long-time Singer Remembered
Colin Gibb, a founding member of the novelty pop group Black Lace, has died at the age of 70. Gibb was the lead singer on the band's biggest hit, "Agadoo," which was released in 1980 and reached number two on the UK charts.
Gibb was born in Scotland in 1954 and began his musical career in the late 1970s. He joined Black Lace in 1979 and remained with the band until his death. In addition to "Agadoo," Black Lace also had a number of other hits, including "Do the Conga" and "Superman."
Gibb's death has been met with sadness by his bandmates and fans. He was remembered as a great friend and a talented singer.
